6 Hands are better than 1

I love this piece. I hope everyone out there does too. This was the first piece that I thought of carving so much negative space into, so it was kind of a landmark for me as well. If you like this one, I am also working on one titled “No one not even the rain has such delicate hands”, with similar subject matter which will be up in a couple weeks, either on the revamped site or on the blog. That title is based on an EE Cummings poem.

Time to Fix the Pipes

The title of this piece was just a play on the Dunkin’ Donuts add. I don’t know if anyone out here understoood it anyway. I haven’t seen a Dunkin’ Donuts since maybe Minnesotta or Illinois.

Lunar Boy Gallery

Yesterday my lady friend and I drove to Astoria and picked up a bunch of my paintings from the Lunar Boy Gallery. I still have a wall up in the back if anyone is interested, but either way I thought that I would show people a couple of the pieces a few at a time on the blog. So here is the second piece.

It’s Called “The Patch Job”

So here’s an actual finished painting. It will eventually be up on the website but right now the website is in the process of being redesigned, so I will just throw up a painting on the blog every now and again.

hope you like it.

True Wuv

Just a quick sketch of a bird pressing play. Birds like jam boxes right?

Mr. Bot and his little friend are pretty much my favorite two subjects. They just keep popping up all over the place.

and then I created Mountains

This is kind of a sandwichboard from the future. I think that I am going to use it for a promo in the near future. Let me know if you want a postcard with this image on it.

This machine started as a machine carrying around stereo equipment but eventually I decided that it should be a cloud constructor.

here’s another sketch more along the lines of the cloud constructor pieces. It’s actually for a final painting which is going to be pretty much huge. As can be seen mountains are being added to natural construction projects.

Finally Back at the Regular Grind

Just to catch up a little I’m putting two up today. Both of these sketches are out of a sketchbook made from Butcher’s paper bound in a library book that was taken out of circulation from the Seattle Public Library System. The sketchbook was made by Beth Page (www.antistockart.com).

Hope to be back on a more regular basis now that both of my shows are up. If you aren’t busy and would like a nice ferry ride this coming friday, then I would suggest a trip to Vashon Island where my opening at Gallery 070 will be running from 6-9 pm.

A Man and his Beer Van: Drawing #5

This is all about a cyborg nation, when tv’s take over everything, and human beings are no longer required to think ever. There are many more of these drawings to come, so if you like it keep tuning in(see the tv reference!).
